Let’s continue with the Project QUILTING Mystery Quilt Along. Today we’ll be making Blocks 12 and 13! We’re down to just five (including these two) more blocks to make!
Block 12 Cutting Instructions
Fabric A
(1) 5.5″ x 5.5″ square
(1) 1.5″ x 5.5″ rectangles
(2) 1.5″ x 1.5″ squares
Fabric C
(1) 1.5″ x 1.5″ square
Fabric E
(2) 1.5″ x 1.5″ squares
Construction
Layout the pieces you’ve cut as shown in the diagram above.
Sew the 1.5″ squares together into one strip.
To finish this block off, sew the three sections together. Press towards the Fabric A sections. Block 10 should measure 5.5″ x 7.5″.
Block 13 Cutting Instructions
Fabric A
(1) 3.5″ x 4.5″ rectangle
(2) 1.5″ x 3.5″ rectangles
Fabric B
(1) 1.5″ x 4.5″ rectangle
Fabric C
(1) 3.5″ x 3.5″ square
(1) 1.5″ x 1.5″ square
Fabric D
(1) 1.5″ x 1.5″ square
Fabric E
(2) 1.5″ x 1.5″ squares
Construction
Layout the pieces you’ve cut as shown in the diagram above.
Sew the 1.5″ squares together into two vertical strips.
Sew the top three sections together and the bottom three sections together. Press towards the non-pieced fabrics.
Sew the two sections on the right together. press towards the bottom section.
Block 13 should measure 5.5″ x 7.5″ at this point.
