Yeah! The Fourth Annual Project QUILTING Mystery Quilt Along starts today – well sort of – at least you can start by pulling your fabric. I’m going to share with you the first stitching clue tomorrow so I just ease you into all this crazy fun. I promise that this is going to be a MINI quilt when we’re finished too. The final dimensions will be 20.5″ x 28.5″.
For this particular quilt I highly recommend choosing fabrics that are solids or read solids. If you’re feeling a bit more adventurous you could use ombres. I chose to use ombres just because I have a particular obsession with gelato ombre fabric.
Fabric A (pink) – 1/2 yard
Fabric B (turquoise) – 1/4 yard
Fabric C (green) – 1/4 yard
Fabric D (yellow) – 1/8 yard
Fabric E (black) – 1/8 yard
*this fabric yardage does not include what is needed for the backing or binding.
Once you have your fabric pulled please share a post on instagram with the hashtag #pqmysteryqal4 and/or in the Challenge Quilts facebook group. We want to see your progress! The next clue will be posted tomorrow at noon!

Kim: Do your colors represent the recommended values – 2 dark, 2 medium, and 1 light/medium light?
Thank you.

4 colors and a contrast. Value be damned! (This is from Trish!)
But really – just four colors and a contrast … it will work 😉

Thank you I can’t wait to pull some fabrics

What is “read” solid? WOF yardage??
persimondreams says
Fabrics that “read” as solid mean that from a distance they appear solid. Fabrics like small prints and tone-on-tone read as solid. (thank you Zo E Cohen!)

Fabric C says it should be turquoise color but it looks like green to me. Maybe I am color blind. Can I use green? 💚🐸☘️
