The Finished Bella Skill Builder Quilt

For the last 9 months you’ve been watching as our blocks for the Fat Quarter Shop “Bella Skill Builder” have been put together. Now – you get to see what each of our final quilts look like! I’m sure you’re going to be so surprised to hear that mine is completely different than the example!

Instead of using just one fabric for the border I pieced together my leftover pieces to create a fun border. I only had bella solid fat quarter bundles to work with so it was going to have to be pieced either way … I figured I might as well make it interesting! Once I had my quilt top pieced I sent it to Mandy Leins of Mandalei Quilts and let her do her quilting magic. And magic she did! Every time I look at this quilt I see something new and fun in the quilting that I hadn’t noticed before!
