Today is the reveal of the last and final clue for the the fifth annual Project QUILTING Mystery Quilt Along. I hope you’ve had fun so far. After you finish today’s clues be sure to post how you think it’s all going to go together in the end. I will be posting the layout tomorrow at noon.
Clue 6 Cutting Instructions
Fabric C
(6) 2″ x 3.5″ rectangles
(2) 3.5″ x 5″ rectangles
Fabric BG1
(12) 2″ x 2″ squares
(4) 2.75″ x 2.75″ squares
Construction
Draw a diagonal line on the wrong side of the Fabric BG1 squares.
Place a 2.75″ square right sides together in the upper right of the 3.5″ x 5″ Fabric C rectangle. Stitch right on the drawn line.
Place a 2″ square right sides together on the right side of the 2″ x 3.5″ Fabric C rectangle. Stitch right on the drawn line.
Trim fabrics 1/4″ from the seam.
Press towards Fabric BG1.
Place a 2.75″ square right sides together in the upper left of the 3.5″ x 5″ Fabric C rectangle. Stitch right on the drawn line.
Place a 2″ square right sides together on the left side of the 2″ x 3.5″ Fabric C rectangle. Stitch right on the drawn line.
Trim fabrics 1/4″ from the seam.
Make (2) 3.5″ x 5″ cornered rectangles.
Make (6) 2″ x 3.5″ flying geese.
Take three of the 2″ x 3.5″ flying geese rectangles and sew them together.
Once you’ve finished this clue you will have two sets of 3.5″ x 5″ cornered rectangles and two sets of 3.5″ x 5″ triple geese.
