Hello everyone! I hope you had a nice Christmas! Now it’s time to get back to working on the fifth annual Project QUILTING Mystery Quilt Along.
Today we’re going to be making some half square triangles!
Clue 4 Cutting Instructions
Fabric B
(2) 4″ squares
(2) 5.5″ squares
Fabric BG3
(2) 4″ squares
(2) 5.5″ squares
Construction
Draw a diagonal line on the wrong side of the Fabric BG3 squares.
Place a 4″ square of Fabric B right sides together with a 4″ square of Fabric BG3. Do the same with the 5.5″ squares.
Sew a quarter inch seam on both sides of the drawn line.
Cut on line.
Press towards Fabric BG3.
Trim the blocks to 3.5″ squares and 5″ squares.
Repeat so in the end you have four 5″ Half Square Triangles and four 3.5″ Half Square Triangles.
And here is what your design wall should look like with the first four clues done.
Clue 4 is DONE! See you tomorrow right here on this blog at noon for Clue 5.
