Happy day 2 of the fifth annual Project QUILTING Mystery Quilt Along! I hope you’re having fun so far.
This clue will show you how to make a cross block for the quilt.
Clue 2 Cutting Instructions
Fabric B
(2) 2″ x 5″ rectangles
(2) 3.5″ x 3.5″ squares
(1) 3.5″ x 5″ rectangle
Fabric C
(2) 2″ x 3.5″ rectangles
(2) 2″ x 5″ rectangles
(4) 3.5″ x 5″ rectangles
Construction
Sew a 2″ x 3.5″ rectangle of fabric C and sew it to a 3.5″ square of Fabric B. Press towards Fabric C. Make 2.
Sew a 2″ x 5″ rectangle of Fabric C and sew it to a 2″ x 5″ rectangle of Fabric B. Press towards Fabric C. Make 2.
Layout out the 3.5″ x 5″ squares of Fabric C and Fabric B with the new blocks just sewn together as shown in the diagram below.
Sew together.
You will have one 9.5″ x 14″ rectangle once this clue is over.
