We’re about to start the third week of Project QUILTING!  Of course, time is just flying by.  I know you are all just as excited for the next challenge in season nine of Project QUILTING!  Everything you need to know about how Project QUILTING began can be found on THIS page. 

Before I hand you over to Trish, a reminder: please read through the rules – read all the way to the bottom of this post –  and make sure you understand them. Feel free to ask questions, and we’ll do our best to answer quickly. Note that photography of your finished project must be linked at the bottom of this post in order to be eligible for prizes and for the Viewer’s Choice voting next week. The link up is in a square format so if you want your quilt in its entirety to show up on the thumbnail be sure to edit it into a square format.  (Maybe if you’re unsure about the posting this first time, don’t wait until the very last minute? THANKS!)

Hey, it’s Trish. Thanks for the HUGE turnout last week! It was so much fun to see you working “outside the box” with all your triangle projects.

Are you ready for PQ9.3? I’m excited to see your COURAGE this week, since our theme is

“Bold and Brave”

THE RULES:

1. Your project should be about bravery: Try a new technique! Honor someone’s courage! Conquer your own fears!
2. Incomplete or unfinished does not qualify. Every challenge piece must be a FINISHED project seen through from INCEPTION to COMPLETION during the challenge timeline (February 4 to 11, 2018). Each piece must stand alone as DONE to count toward prizes.
3. Please remember that these projects need to be created during the week of the challenge (started on or after February 4, finished by February 11).
4. Your project does not need to be a traditional quilt, but must meet at least one of these requirements:

• Include patchwork.
• Include appliqué.
• Have 3 layers stitched together by hand or machine.

5. Link up a blog post, instagram post, or public facebook post to the linky at the bottom of THIS PAGE by Sunday, February 11, 2018 at noon CDT. Alternately, you may email the picture and description to {lapaceksorchard at gmail dot com} with PROJECT QUILTING in the subject line by 11am on Sunday, February 11. Yes – that deadline is one hour earlier because it requires more work for Kim.

When you create your PQ entry’s blog post or instagram, please include:

• a description of your creative process,
• the overall size of your project (it’s so hard to tell in a picture!)
• where you are (ie, I create in Lodi WI)

If you decide to just directly upload your image to the link up party please email Kim this information so it can be shared with everyone else.

Share progress pictures on Facebook, Instagram, and your blog – seeing your process and how you get to the final project is part of the fun!
