Drumroll please!
It’s time. I hope you’ve had fun over this last week with the clues for this mystery. I know I have! I loved it so much my plan is to make four of them and make it all into one big quilt. Ok – enough waiting … here it is …
Ta Da!
Here it is! The final layout for the mystery quilt!
Here is a the key to how all the clues layout. Hopefully it helps you see what’s going on. Feel free to sew together in whatever matter is easiest for you. I’m going to post a series of progress pictures so you can see how my puzzle fit together but there is definitely more than one way to do it.
All the pieces simply laid out.
Here I sewed Clue 2 four patches to Clue 4 half square triangles.
At this point I sewed the pieces with BG3 together into four strips.
They will go onto the center cross like a courthouse step log cabin. The center is done now.
I’m moving my way out and getting more strips sewn together.
I sewed the remaining clues together into four more strips and ended by sewing them on in courthouse step log cabin style.
And once all the clues are together this is what my Mystery Quilt looks like!
Here’s my version of the Mystery Quilt featuring the 2023 Pantone Color of the Year: Viva Magenta!
And here is both of my versions side by side. Seeing them together is what inspired me to make two more … one with a yellow background and one with a purple background. I’m thrilled with how this turned out and can’t wait to see all your versions!
