It’s day 6 of the 3rd Annual Project QUILTING Mystery Quilt Along! We’re well over half way there now. Is everyone having fun? I know I’m loving watching everyone’s progress.
Clue 6
Cut
Fabric 6
(4) – 2.5″ x 2.5″ squares
Fabric 3
(8) – 1.5″ x 1.5″ squares
Layout
On two Fabric 3 squares draw a diagonal line on the wrong side of the fabric. Place a Fabric 3 square in the upper right of a Fabric 6 square as shown in the picture above.
Stitch on the diagonal line drawn. Do this for all four Fabric 6 squares.
Trim off the corners outside the stitch line.
Press towards fabric 3. The square will measure 2.5″ x 2.5″ when finished and you will need to make four total.
Now take the pieces you made in Clue 3 – the 4.5″ x 2.5″ rectangle and the 2.5″ x 2.5″ square. Lay them out as shown in the image above.
Sew the square from Clue 3 to the square from Clue 6 together as shown in the image above. Press towards Clue 3 square.
Sew the two rectangles together as shown in the image above. Press towards the rectangle from Clue 3.
You will need to make four of these 4.5″ x 4.5″ squares for Clue 6.
Stop back on December 29th at noon CST to see what clue 7 is!
