It’s day 3 of the 3rd Annual Project QUILTING Mystery Quilt Along! After today we’ll be taking a two day break (Dec 24th & Dec 25th) from new clues. The fourth clue will be posted on December 26th. I hope everyone enjoys Christmas Eve and Christmas!
Step 3
Cut
Fabric 3
(4) – 4.5″ x 2.5″ rectangles
(4) – 2.5″ x 2.5″ squares
Fabric 4a
(8) – 1.5″ x 1.5″ squares
Fabric 5a
(4) – 1.5″ x 1.5″ squares
Layout
On two Fabric 4a squares and one Fabric 5a square draw a diagonal line on the wrong side of the fabric. Place a Fabric 4a square in the upper left of a Fabric 3 rectangle and a Fabric 5a square in the upper right of a Fabric 3 rectangle as shown in the picture above. On a Fabric 3 square, place one Fabric 4a square in a corner as shown in the picture above.
Stitch on the diagonal line drawn. Do this for all four Fabric 3 rectangles and all four Fabric 3 squares.
Trim off the corners outside the stitch line.
Press towards fabrics 4a and 6a. The rectangles will measure 4.5″ x 2.5″ when finished with this step and you will need to make four total.
The squares will measure 2.5″ x 2.5″ when finished with this step and you will need to make four total.
