Happy Sunday everyone!  We’re so anxious to get started with Season 16 of Project QUILTING on Sunday, January 5th, 2025 that we’ve decided to add to the Project QUILTING challenge fun of Season 16 and offer a Mystery BONUS Project QUILTING Challenge. We haven’t done one of these in quite awhile (maybe 10 years) but we thought it would be fun to team up with Blue Bar Quilts and bring you a little extra!

How will this be different than the normal Project QUILTING Challenges?

• • To participate you must purchase one of the two bundles from Blue Bar Quilts.

• • You will have more than a week to complete the challenge.

• • The fabric bundle consists of eight quarter-yard cuts. Both bundles include one identical fabric, a squirrel & floral print on a black background. The twist is – Kim picked seven coordinating fabrics and Trish picked seven coordinating fabrics – which we’re keeping a surprise. You get to pick the bundle. Do you want to go with Kim’s style or Trish’s style? If you’re unfamiliar with their style I recommend browsing their websites and social media:

Rules:

1. You must use all 8 fabrics from the bundle, and can add anything to it.

Two curated bundles, one each by Kim & Trish, include eight 1/4 yard cuts, a total of 2 yards of fabric in each bundle priced at $21.99 (a $26 value). Both bundles contain one identical fabric, a squirrel & floral print on a black background. Available for pre-order, bundles will ship on January 15, 2025 or be available for pick at the shop* anytime on or after January 15, 2025. Availability of bundles is limited and other fabrics may be substituted with similar prints if necessary.

2. The final perimeter of the quilt must be no less than 120″ – so toddler quilt/wall hanging and bigger.

3.  You may add as many other fabrics and other materials as you wish.

4. That’s it – anything else goes!

5.    LINK UP your COMPLETED (pieced, quilted and bound) quilt entries with a description of your creative process, including where you are (ie, I create in Madison, WI) and the size of your project by Tuesday, April 15th, 2025, at noon, CDT, to –OR email a picture/description of your completed project to {projectquilting at gmail dot com} with PROJECT QUILTING in the subject line.

6. EXHIBIT! Yes there will be an exhibit of the quilts in May of 2025 at Blue Bar Quilts! Once you’ve finished your quilt, if you wish for it to be on display please ship it to:
