This is the FINAL block clue for the Sixth Annual Project QUILTING Mystery Quilt Along! Can you believe it? I hope you’ve enjoyed this low-key mystery quilt along. The final layout will be revealed tomorrow!

Clue 8 – Block 15

Cutting Block 15:
Fabric A:
(1) 13″ x 13″ square (you should have cut this and put it aside for Clue 1)
Fabric B*:
(2) 1.25 ” x 15″ strip
(2) 1.5″ x 15″ strips
*Strip lengths may vary because of the slices you cut. Just make sure the strip length is slightly longer than the background fabric.
Making Block 15:

Cut a diagonal in the lower left corner of Fabric A. Place a 1.25″ strip of Fabric B into the cut. Just make sure the strip length is slightly longer than the background fabric.

Sew the Fabric B strip into the Fabric A square. Press towards the Fabric B strips.

Make a cut so it crosses the first diagonal. Place a 1.5″ strip of Fabric B in the cut.

Sew the Fabric B strip into the Fabric A square. Press towards the Fabric B strip.

Make a diagonal cut as shown above. Place a 1.25″ strip of Fabric B in the cut.

Sew the Fabric B strip to the left section. Press towards Fabric B. Make another diagonal cut in Fabric A as shown above. Place a 1.5″ strip of Fabric B in the cut.

Sew the Fabric B strip into the Fabric A section. Press towards Fabric B.

Trim the right section so there is a nice smooth connection with the right section.

Sew the two sections together.

Square Block 15 to 12.5″ x 12.5″ square.
