Hello everyone! Happy St. Nick’s Day! This year I made my girls ridiculous advent calendars (I have a gift giving problem … it’s a weird problem but it is definitely a thing) but the deal was they had to take on the St. Nick duties. They did a great job and the look on Pip’s face (the youngest) when she saw her sister got her the slippers she wanted was priceless!
As many of you know, Season 15 of Project QUILTING is starting in just over a month! That’s right! It starts on Sunday, January 7th 2024 at Noon Wisconsin Time (aka Central Time). A few weeks ago I put up a post (HERE) looking for sponsors! I still have plenty of room for those interested in sponsoring! Even if you don’t have a business you want to promote but you just want to give back since you’ve enjoyed either being a participant or observer over the years that’s just fine. I’ve had quite a few people send me some amazing swag already for prizes this year – feel free to email me at projectquilting@gmail.com if you’re interested in this!
Support Project QUILTING
Another way you could support PQ is by making a donation. Project QUILTING is a free challenge run online but I do still have expenses for shipping, website, promotion, etc. Any support is appreciated! I have a donation spot right here on my website.
As I post things during the season I might have things that say #ad or #affiliate link. I post this on things that I can earn a small commission from but I will only recommend things I myself would buy.
Let’s move on to some other details …
Project QUILTING Mystery
YES! There will be a Project QUILTING Mystery Quilt Along just before the 15th season begins. I have more details to come! It will begin no later than the 29th of December. I might move that up and give us a day off for New Years but I’ll see how hard this one actually is. Just make sure you have it on your radar.
And anyone still reading this post but have no idea what I’m talking about when I say Project QUILTING read on to find out more !
About Project QUILTING
Running 12 weeks during January, February, and March, Project QUILTING is a series of online challenges for quilters held on my blog, Persimon Dreams (www.KimLapacek.com). I post a new challenge every two weeks; participants have a week to meet the challenge and link up their final projects to the blog. Then, since it’s a little intense to make a quilt a week, there’s a week off to catch up with life.
Past sponsors have provided gift certificates, patterns, fabric, buttons, postcards, and other fun things which are awarded several ways:
-
All completed entries are entered in a random prize drawing after the challenge deadline.
-
At the end of the season, a Grand Prize is drawn. Each completed project is gets an entry, along with a bonus entry awarded to anyone completing the season’s full slate of challenges.
