Hello everyone! Can you believe that Season 15 of Project QUILTING starts in just ONE week!? I know! I can’t either! Time has definitely flown by!
Before we find out the first challenge (on Sunday, Jan 7), let’s meet this weeks Ultimate Weekly Sponsor – Blue Bar Quilts! Blue Bar Quilts is not only my local quilt shop but I’m also their newest employee! Yes! I’m working one to two days a week and loving every minute of it!. I’m thrilled that they love to support Project QUILTING. Blue Bar Quilts has been open now for over five years and I’m beyond impressed on how Gael and her fabulous staff have built this incredible business. Not only does Blue Bar Quilts have an incredible selection of fabric (for sale online and at their brick and mortar: take a virtual tour!), notions, classes, work space, but now they are a Juki QVP dealer, service sewing machines AND will do custom digital printing to fabric! Did I mention that they do tons of incredible things to support and build up their community?

I always love to help you get to know our Ultimate Weekly Sponsors a little more so I did a fun little interview. Enjoy! I’ve been doing these interviews for quite a few seasons now and I was starting to feel stumped on how to keep it fun and interesting. I decided to pull out the prize wheel (#ad) my daughter uses at cross country and track meets for TikToks. This way I will have five random questions for each Ultimate Weekly Sponsor. They might be all the same or all different – the wheel will decide!
For quilting, there isn’t one go-to color for me, it’s the best color for the project, always. I like them all, even the ugly ones that make everything else shine.
Q: If you have to write something would you choose to use a pen, pencil or markers?
A: I love a freshly sharpened wooden pencil or mechanical pencil.
Q: What animal would you say is most like you?
A: Beaver – I am always “building” something, half of it’s underwater and no one knows about it, and whatever it is might cause more problems down the line or be an engineering marvel.
Q: Are you a Night Owl or an Early Bird?
A: Neither, my schedule is situational and changes often. Also, I am perpetually 10-30 minutes late for *almost* everything.
Q: What’s your favorite Board Game?
