My fabulous local quilt shop is hosting a challenge! You all know me – I LOVE a good quilt challenge!
This one is really easy too (be sure to visit the Blue Bar Quilts website for the FULL rules). Basically – you need to buy at least one fat quarter of Cherrywoood fabric from Blue Bar Quilts and then make a quilt with at least that one fabric and two other non-cherrywood fabrics! That’s it! You can use more fabrics but not less and your quilt needs to measure 24″ square when you’re done.
You can buy your fabric when you visit the store (like I did) or you can order your fabric online HERE.
I couldn’t decide on just one color of Cherrywood Fabric so I picked 5! I went with Blue-Green, Mandarin, Bronze, Cheddar and Quail. I may or may not use them all in the quilt or just one or two of them.
I did happen to find a few other fat quarters that I thought were fun too that I might use in the challenge as well or not. I have a hard time not adding to my fabric collection when I visit Blue Bar Quilts and these ones just caught my eye.
My fingers are crossed that at least one of the next three Project QUILTING Challenges can be made into my Blue Bar Quilts/Cherrywood Fabric Challenge. I love being able to get more than one challenge covered in just one quilt! The quilts are due by March 31 so I could potentially make three different quilts for the Blue Bar Quitls challenge and just pick my favorite one to enter. Hmmm … that might be a good plan.
Anyway – I hope you get your Cherrywood fabric and join in the fun!
