Happy Friday everyone! Have you enjoyed your week off from Project QUILTING and caught up on a few things? I feel like this week has absolutely flown by! But I did have my first in-person quilt talk again this past Tuesday and we had a pretty significant band of snow on Thursday so my week has been a bit more busy than normal.
You all still have a few more days before the next challenge (February 12) but we have some great sponsors to meet! Today we’re going to meet our next Project QUILTING Ultimate Weekly sponsor – Aurifil!
Aurifil has support Project QUILTING and me for quite a few years now. AND it helps that their thread is AMAZING! I may have a few (100) spools myself!
I was just informed that they have a brand new Digital Marketing Coordinator, Claire Campion, and she took the time to answer some fun interview questions. Read on to find out more about the newest team member to Aurifil – Claire.
Who is your favorite fabric designer?
There are so many amazing designers and I definitely don’t stick to just one, but I suppose the one designer that I turn to the most is Sharon Holland for Art Gallery Fabrics (#ad).
If you could choose one song to play every time you walked into a room, what would you choose and why?
‘You Make My Dreams (Come True)’ by Daryl Hall and John Oates (and there is great cover version by Wendlo Music too) If I could walk into a room and lift the mood – wouldn’t that be amazing and this song does just that when you here it.
What would your superhero power be and why?
To have the ability to pause time! There are moments I would just love to pause, to sit in for a little longer and soak up all the good feels!
What was the last gift you gave someone?
Flowers – it was my friends Birthday this week and I dropped off some flowers – we’re also going for a wine tasting too at the end of the week to celebrate!
What is your go pattern for a baby quilt/quick project?
One of the first patterns I bought was Pine Fall Quilt Pattern by The Blanket Statement – simple but striking and a really quick make!
Tell us about your funniest sewing fail!
I’ve completed a pattern test for a fellow quilt designer and after finishing the quilting noticed I had sewn a block upside down! Couldn’t live with it not being right so un-picked the quilting… I had quilted with dense pencil-stick lines! It was worth it in the end but if you didn’t laugh about it, you would cry!
