I was going to write that we had our first snowfall today but I can still see grass through it so I’m not sure if that’s worth acknowledging yet. If you haven’t had time to get started on your holiday sewing you still have time!
My Dresden Neighborhood pattern can easily be made into fun and fabulous Christmas village! It’s all about using the right fabrics! Each house on the neighborhood above features a different Christmas or winter fabric – perfect for the scene! To top it off, I found the perfect fussy cut Santa in his sleigh that I could applique to sky above the houses. If you don’t have the fabric for fussy cutting – Quilted Works has an awesome laser cut fusible Santa and Reindeer that fits the Dresden Neighborhood perfectly!
Here is another Christmas Dresden Neighborhood that I created!
Or if you prefer to just celebrate the winter season – the Dresden Neighborhood above was inspired by an image of ski village I found on pinterest. Using Heat N Bond lite I was able to add fun snow elements to the buildings. The possibilities are truly endless with the Dresden Neighborhood pattern! My pattern shows you the bones on how to make the neighborhood but you get to take your creativity and make it your own. That’s why when you do a search of them you see just how many different, amazing neighborhoods have been created!
If you don’t have the pattern yet you can buy it either on this website HERE or if you prefer to shop on etsy it is found HERE.
When you make your Dresden Neigbhorhood be sure to tag me on instagram @PersimonDreams and use the hashtag #dresdenneighborhood so I can easily see it!
