Happy September 1st and happy anniversary to my parents! I’m excited to announce the block theme for September – Apples! Many of you may not know but my family own and operates an apple orchard – Lapacek’s Orchard – in Poynette, WI. September is one of the busiest months for us and it just felt appropriate that this months scrappy block should be inspired by what is most on my mind right now – apples.
So, for this months Scrap Quilt Challenge let’s see your apple quilts! Go traditional, nontraditional, pieced, paper pieced, appliqued, whatever you’d like! All the specific rules of the challenge can be found by clicking HERE.
And since apples are such a huge part of my world, if you have an extra apple block you’d like to send my way so I can create the coolest, eclectic, scrappy orchard quilt ever I’d love that! Just mail them to:
