Hello everyone! This is Kim here. I’m going to give Trish a break from issueing the final challenge of Project QUILTING Quarantine 2020 (at least for now) because I have a special surprise for her. Yes – you read that correctly – this is going to be the final Quarantine challenge. Most states and areas are starting to reopen and see how much normal we can go back to. I have some other things I’d like to focus on so this seems like a good time go call it for now.
Just a reminder: since there are no prizes in PQQ2020, you can decide how “perfectly” you want to play by the rules. I mean, honestly, it’s just about DOING SOMETHING PRODUCTIVE so we don’t all go stir crazy, right? And we’ll keep doing this as long as it stays fun and relevant.
PQQ2020 – Q5 Trish
The inspiration for the final Project QUILTING Quarantine Challenge is TRISH. Trish Frankland is the peanut butter to my jelly, my partner in crime … I mean quilting, she brings me down when I’m too far up and brings me up when I’m too far down. Project QUILTING and my quilting world would not be the same without her. AND it’s her birthday on May 31st – the day these are due so I thought this would be a great week to be inspired by her!
If you don’t know Trish here are a few of her loves to inspire you –
- Skulls
- Typography
- Indy 500
- Motorcycles
- Chickens
- Vocabulary
- Balancing Rock Piles
- Art History
- The “F” word
- Music
- Sparkles
Feel free to be her, something she’s inspired in you, her quilts or her loves! The options are endless – just explain what you did with your entry! Have fun with this one and let’s show Trish just how awesome she is! If you don’t know Trish at all – be sure to take a few moments to browse her website – Quilt Chicken.
There is no size limit – make it as big or little as you want.
Each piece must stand alone as DONE to count.
You have one week to meet the challenge. Every challenge piece must be a FINISHED project seen through from INCEPTION to COMPLETION during the challenge timeline – that is, started on or after May 24, 2020, and posted by noon Central May 31, 2020.

My daughter says Trish sounds fun. She suggests I do the F word and sparkles. I’m still considering my options.
