Throughout the eleventh season of Project QUILTING I experienced so many things. Excitement when the first challenge was posted on January 5th. Awe as I looked through the amazing quilts and projects made in just ONE WEEK! Companionship as we all struggled and inspired each other in the Challenge Quilt Group as we worked on our pieces each week. Shock when 156 quilts were made in JUST ONE challenge (Put a Heart On it). Giddiness when Trish and I got together to do the live drawings. Anxiety when COVID starting closing down the world. Hope when I realized we aren’t along – we have each other. And I still have two huge prize packages to dish out!
Every time you participated in a Project QUILTING challenge your name was entered not only in the weekly prize drawing but also in the drawing for the grand prize. 229 people completed at least one challenge during the 11th season of Project QUILTING. If you participated in all six challenges, your name was put in the hat a seventh time. 43 people participated in all six challenges!
There were so many amazing things donated for the grand prize drawing we split them into two packages. Before I announce the winner, lets review all the amazing things that are included in the first Grand Prize Package.
GRAND PRIZE PACKAGE ONE
Pat Sloan
One of my favorite people in the quilting industry Pat Sloan donated a copy of her and Jane Davidson’s book – The Splendid Sampler Book.
The Electric Needle
Jen the owner of the Electric Needle has participated in Project QUILTING for I think 3 seasons now … it may be more. Anyway, she loved it so much she decided to sponsor it this year – all six challenges and a grand prize! For the grand prize she donated – 10 Fat Quarters of Kona Solids! You can find the entire 303 colors of kona solids in her brick and mortar store AND her online shop!
KID GIDDY
I have an online friendship with Kerry of KidGiddy and I am so happy to have discovered her talent! She writes incredible paper piecing patterns that are inspiring and ADORABLE! The winner of this Grand Prize package will get to choose THREE PDF patterns of their choice! Above I shared a picture of the mini quilt I created using KidGiddy’s Hot Skates Pattern. Take a moment to check out all the amazing patterns she has to offer!

New Leaf Stitches
Kari Carr of New Leaf Stitches created one of the best rulers out there – Slotted Trimmers. It will change the way you look at making half square triangles forever! Check out the video I posted of Trish using this ruler on my instagram feed!
Oliso
Oliso is generously donating an Oliso Mini Project Iron for the grand prize! This is the perfect size to either use at home OR take with you on the go!
Moda Fabrics
I don’t know about you but I love all things that are related to quilting! This apron and snarky towels donated by Moda are such a great addition to any quilters home!
CRAFTY SEWING & QUILTING
Marcia of Crafty Sewing and Quilting is our veteran sponsor – she’s been sponsoring Project QUILTING since she heard about it just before season 2! She’s been such an amazing supporter of my challenge and I appreciate her more than she knows. The winner of the First Grand Prize Package will receive a copy of two of Marcia’s PDF Patterns – Turn a Quilt into a Bag and The Easy to Sew Quilt Pattern!
Mr. Domestic
Mister Domestic donated a sampler of fat quarters from his newest fabric line – Playroom – for season 11 of Project QUILTING. My daughter, Capri, split it up into three packs of fat quarter bundles throughout the regular prizes and still had one left. SO – we thought this piece – Playroom Rules – would make the perfect final addition to Grand Prize Package one.
