The fun continues with the Fat Quarter Shop and the Farm Girl Vintage 2 Sew Along !
This is my fourth week sewing blocks from Lori Holt’s book Farm Girl Vintage 2. I’m sticking with my plan to make 6.5″ blocks and those tiny pieces are definitely a challenge at times. This is also the last week I’ve committed to sewing along with … but that doesn’t mean I’ll be done. I had so much fun with these little blocks – they truly make a person happy when you finish putting them together – that I’ll definitely try to sew more when I can find time.
BLOCK 19 – HAND MIXER BLOCK
The first block this week is the Hand Mixer Block block. I couldn’t resist making mine a mint one.
BLOCK 20 – HAPPY FLOWERS
The Happy Flowers block is beyond adorable! I couldn’t resist putting those sea horse fabric from the Elizabeth Hartman’s Reef collection into the mix! All the fabrics in the bundle are too adorable!
I chose to use scrap fabrics from my stash for my Farm Girl Vintage 2 blocks but if you’d prefer the fabrics highlighted in the Farm Girl Vintage 2 book you can get an actual quilt kit from the Fat Quarter Shop here or you can go with the Lori Holt Farm Girl Vintage Fat Quarter bundle. Check out all the amazing fun fabrics and trinkets all based on the new Farm Girl Vintage 2 book found on this page.
