One of my favorite new things in Season 10 of Project QUILTING is our #PQCelebrity feature. It’s been fun to see the “celebrity’s” take on the challenges and see what they can come up within a week. I’m super excited about this week’s #PQCelebrity – Mathew Boudreaux aka Mister Domestic! Mathew will have just one week to start and finish a quilt per the Project QUILTING Challenge requirements – just like you!
I thought it would fun to be a little interview so you all can get to know your #PQCelebrity a little better before the challenge!
Meet Mister Domestic
K: What is your favorite thing about quilting?
MrD: My favorite thing about quilting is the problem solving. I love not knowing something and then having to sit there and figure it out. And then when I figure it out I love to share it with everyone else.
K: What is your favorite color to incorporate into your quilts?
MrD: Teal. I’m obsessed with that color and I want it in everything. It’s very weird to be that connected to a specific color, but I legit can’t get enough of it.
K: Do you have a secret tool that you love to use when quilting?
MrD: It’s not a secret, but I love glue. I glue down my binding and sometimes use it when I foundation paper piece and always when I English paper piece. Seriously if there’s a place to glue something, I’ll use it.
K: What do you like to snack on while you sew?
MrD: Carrots. Like it’s healthy enough to be a mindless food and it doesn’t leave remnants of anything that might get on my fabric as I’m sewing.
K: Do you have a favorite sewing beverage?
MrD: Coffee. They go hand in hand, no?
K: Have you ever participated in a challenge before? If no, why did you decide to give this one a try?
MrD: I don’t recall ever participating in a challenge. I decided to give this one a whirl because you’re super rad and knew it was be a super time.

Mister Domestic asked me to donate to the Trevor Project for his participation in this challenge – I’m happy to oblige!
I hope you are all as excited as I am to see what Mister Domestic comes up with for the fourth Project QUILTING Challenge!
