Today is the big day! It’s the start of the very first Project QUILTING Mystery Quilt Along. This quilt along is meant to be fun, quick and simple and to help get your in the Project QUILTING spirit!
Each day for the next week I’ll be posting a new clue at noon CST. By the end of the week you’ll have all the clues needed to create a cute little min quilt that will inspire you throughout Season 10 of Project QUILTING.
Clue 1
Today we’ll get all of our fabric cut and prepped! This is a perfect little project for using up your scraps so I hope you do so!
Main fabrics
– four different colors, I used Purple, Red, Blue and Green
Fabric 1 (purple)
From a scrappy selection of fabrics cut:
(6) 2.5” squares
Fabric 2 (red)
Pull a pile of scraps of red fabric. None should measure more than 2” wide … if you don’t have scraps just cut a bunch up. If you don’t have enough pulled, once we get to the step you need it for, it will be easy for you to add more.
Fabric 3 (Blue)
From a scrappy selection of fabrics cut:
(9) 2.5” squares
(2) 3.0” squares
Fabric 4 (Green)
From a scrappy selection of fabrics cut:
(12) 2.5” squares
(3) 3.0” squares
Background
I recommend low volume fabrics; make sure it contrasts nicely with your four main fabrics.
From a scrappy selection of fabrics cut
(87) 2.5” squares
(9) 3.0” squares
You now have all of your fabric prepped for the first clue of the Project QUILTING Mystery Quilt Along!
