Softball Fan Quilt–a June Finish

My “Summer Rocks” because I get to watch a TON of softball! I have two girls in travel leagues and my youngest is playing tball.  I really do love watching and cheering on their teams … but it means I don’t get to be at my sewing machine very much. photo by Leslie Seas of White Willow Studios  While I tend to bring hand work projects (it helps keep me calm), I thought it would also be nice to make a quilt for the softball field.  There’s always time between games for the girls to relax and have fun … why not hang out on quilt! My goal was to make the quilt quick and easy so I didn’t mind if the girls were dirty or spilled on it.  It will hopefully be washed often and loved a lot.  Kim Van Etten did the all over quilting on it to keep all the layers secure so this will last for many years to come.
