My “Summer Rocks” because I get to watch a TON of softball! I have two girls in travel leagues and my youngest is playing tball. I really do love watching and cheering on their teams … but it means I don’t get to be at my sewing machine very much. photo by Leslie Seas of White Willow Studios While I tend to bring hand work projects (it helps keep me calm), I thought it would also be nice to make a quilt for the softball field. There’s always time between games for the girls to relax and have fun … why not hang out on quilt! My goal was to make the quilt quick and easy so I didn’t mind if the girls were dirty or spilled on it. It will hopefully be washed often and loved a lot. Kim Van Etten did the all over quilting on it to keep all the layers secure so this will last for many years to come. Find out my process on creating this quilt on ThermOWeb’s blog HERE. I’m happy the quilt is done (and was done quickly!) and ready for the rest of the season! Linking up to Summer Rocks Project QUILTING Challenge and Color Girl Quilts Finish Up Challenge.
