Before we get to announcing the Season 9 Grand Prize Winner I’m going to share a few fun stats from Season 9 and go through the amazing prizes that ONE lucky participant will win! 667 quilts were made in Season 9! 204 people made at least one quilt for a challenge! 52 people participated in all six challenges! In order to have your name in the Grand Prize Winner Bucket … you had to complete at least one of the six challenges. Your name went in the bucket for EACH Project QUILTING Challenge. If you completed all six of the challenges – your name went into the bucket an extra time! Now … let’s take a closer look at all the great prizes!
Aurifil will be giving the grand prize winner one of their big spool of thread boxes! I’ll post a picture of the exact one once I know exactly which one is up for grabs! ~|~|~
DURING QUITE TIME
$30 worth of PDF Patterns!
You’re going to have a hard time picking just $30 worth! Amy’s patterns are fabulous and easy to follow! (I’ve made a few)! My personal favorites (I limited myself to 5) would have to be Bushel Basket of Apples (I know – shocker!), Camper, Hexie Case, Little Lady, and Interlock Quilt Pattern. ~|~|~
Sam Hunter of Hunter’s Design Studio is generously giving our grand prize winner their very own copy of her Quilt Talk Book! I have used the paper pieced letter patterns in this book on numerous occassions and for multiple Project QUILTING Challenges. It is a great book to have in your quilting collection! ~|~|~
Jacquelynne Steves has donated two beautiful digital Block of the Month patterns, with complete instructions and lots of diagrams! Fun for the beginning and more advanced quilter. Both patterns include option for applique, hand embroidery or just piecing. Did you know that Jacquelynne has a “The Art of Home Club”? There’s currently a wait list but you’re going to want to get on it!
Kerry Goulder of Kid Giddy is giving our lucky Grand Prize winner a PDF Pattern Bundle which includes the patterns for her Hot Skates, Queen Bee and Land of Magic Quilts! These are all on my current “to do” list of quilts to make. ~|~|~
For the Grand Prize, Marcia will be giving a“Quilting Gift Certificate” for $65.00 off the Quilting on a Lap size quilt or larger. ( Lap, Twin. Full, Queen, or King) from Marcia’s Crafty Sewing & Quilting. The Gift Certificate will be good for 4 months starting one month after the challenge ends. Excluding the Month of December for using the gift certificate. The quilting gift certificate is transferable to another person, so you can share it with a friend, if you’d like. Marcia will do an estimate based on the size of the winner’s quilt top, quilting choices, thread choices, and batting and if they would like to purchase backing fabric from me. Winner can send backing fabric and batting with their quilt top, but I do have it available. This way the winner will have a good estimate of the value of your quilting prize. ~|~|~
