April Dresden Neighborhood Round Up

April 26, 2018 by persimondreams 1 Comment

I’m pretty far behind on my “Dresden Neighborhood” round up posts.  I have to admit – after the 9th season of Project QUILTING wrapped up I’ve been enjoying some time away from the computer … completing just the bare minimum.  It felt good to take a little break but it has been tons of fun going through and seeing what folks have been working on! I’m “rounding up” all the neighborhoods that were posted to the pinned post at the top of my “Quilt and Dream Along with Kim Lapacek” facebook group.  Feel free to join and add your photo’s if you’d like me to share.  There are also some AMAZING Dresden Neighborhoods on instagram under the hashtags #DresdenNeighborhood and #DresdenNeighborhoodSAL – be sure to check them out!  Just WOW!!!!Dresden Neighborhood by Daine Phillips I’m in absolute LOVE with Diane Phillips version – “Corporate Cog”!  Seriously – amazing!  You can read more about her process on her blog HERE.  She shares other Dresden Neighborhood quilts made from the guilds challenge too – incredible!dresden neighborhood kim lantis The Dresden Neighborhood Quilt made by Kim Lantis.  I love how she offset the windows and made them different shapes and sizes. Dresden Neighborhood Sandra Otremba to Here is Sandra Otremba’s “Hiding in the Trees” version of the Dresden Neighborhood.  I love how she mixed in the woods with just a few houses.dresden neighborhood Sandra Otremba And this is also by Sandra Otremba – she named this Dresden Neighborhood – “A River Runs Through It”.  Her creativity is fantastic!dresden neighborhood vivien newton Vivien Newton created this gorgeous version!  This is the neighborhood that inspired me to use stripes for my April theme.  The colors and patterns in her blocks – just gorgeous!  kristin skantze dresden neighborhoodKristin Skantze made this gorgeous Dresden Neighborhood.  I LOVE all the different roofs, colors, and just well – everything about this quilt!kim van etten barn quilts dresden neighborhood The final Dresden Neighborhood I’m sharing is by the lovely Kim Van Etten.  Instead of houses – she made barns!  There are quilts on three of the barns and the fences she put between the barns is just wonderful!  I love every little detail on this quilt! Find out all you need to know about the sew along HERE.  All you really need for this is to purchase my downloadable Dresden Neighborhood pdf Pattern either on craftsy here or etsy here. If you have a Dresden Neighborhood you’d like me to feature please email me a picture – lapaceksorchard {at} gmail {dot} com OR share in the pinned post in my facebook group “Quilt and Dream Along with Kim Lapacek”! ~|~|~|~ affiliate ads This is the Dresden Ruler I recommend purchasing for your Dresden Neighborhood! Thanks for the shout out! I have several other neighborhoods in the works. There is a new community on the horizon.
