Happy June … 2nd! Whoops! I completely spaced and forgot to share with you my blocks for the 5th month of the Fat Quarter Shop “Bella Skill Builder”. I used a lot of different scraps of my bella solids to make my half square triangles. It was a great way to help bring unity to my crazy, scrappy quilt! I used the 3" Half Square Triangle Paper Triangles on a Roll to make my half square triangles for this block. It helped make them perfectly with no trimming down or squaring up! Definitely a trick I’d use again! Once all my triangle units were made I put them in a bag. (I was at a quilting retreat when I worked on this). For the next step I blindly grabbed the units and sewed them together in the proper orientation. Once they were in pairs, I sewed the pairs together randomly and finally I sewed the strips together – all randomly! Sometimes the same squares were right next to each other … and I’m totally okay with that! Sometimes it’s way too stressful to make sure things don’t get grouped together … but look at how interesting they look when groups are formed. Now head on over to the Jolly Jabber to see what other bloggers and quilters are doing with their Bella Sampler Quilts! It’s so fun to see all the different versions! ~~~||~~~ This post contains affiliate links and I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking on my links. Have you signed up for the “Sew Sampler” box from the Fat Quarter Shop? I’ve been a member for about 6 months now and it’s something I look forward to each month! Also a great gift idea for the quilter in your life!

They look great. Sometimes it is hard to just sew as it comes. Nice work
