This past weekend we celebrated Cedi’s 6th recital, Capri’s 5th recital and Pip’s 3rd recital with Miss Erin of Center Stage Dance Academy. It was an amazing (two) recitals and I can’t say enough good things about the girls’ teacher – Miss Erin. She gave an amazing speech before the first recital and my favorite quote from it was “It’s not your label that defines you but your dreams.” Seriously – not sure if I could ask for a better role model for my three girls. I just had to make Miss Erin a little gift for all of her hard work, dedication and love for my girls. I share the whole process of this piece “toe shoes” at the ThermOWeb blog HERE. But let me just say – I’m having a lot of fun using the HeatNBond®’s Inkjet Transfer Sheets. It’s such a cool way to transfer a picture to fabric and if you use the sheets made for light fabrics the pattern of the fabric comes through the picture. Definitely my new favorite technique! I still have about 300 photos to edit but here are a few from the recital on Saturday … The three girls pre-recital! Pip in her dance! Capri And Cedi. I’ll admit – I teared up quite a few times on Sunday. It’s so cool to see kids thoroughly loving showing everyone what they’d been working hard on.
