Happy Friday! I’m excited to have a finish to share with you today and link up to Crazy Mom Quilt’s blog for “Finish It Up Fridays.” Tomorrow my oldest has a basketball tournament in Lodi, WI, which is where the lovely quilt shop “Village Creek Quilts” is located. Not too long ago I stopped in and picked up a “Hazel” Layer Cake by Cluck Cluck Sew for Moda to see how it would work for a Dresden Neighborhood. Anyway – I figured I should just finish up the binding so I could bring my sample in to show Patti! I LOVE the fabric that looks like flying geese … perfect for the roofs! I also had fun playing with my fancy stitches when sewing the houses down. I still had a few bits left over from the layer cake but I did need to use a separate piece of fabric for the back … otherwise the houses, roofs, doors, windows, background AND binding were all made using just a single layer cake. Pretty sweet! You can get your own downloadable PDF copy on my craftsy page HERE.
