I’ve had this quilt finishes for a few weeks but I keep forgetting to share it with you! I made this quilt “Let It Snow” for the Fat Quarter Shop’s Holiday Wishes blog hop back in July. I used pink and orange to make this quilt because it is for my oldest daughter and those are her favorite colors. Her birthday is at the November so a winter-y quilt seemed like the perfect thing for her! The snowmen don’t have eyes, noses or mouths … yet. I’m thinking we’ll (Cedi and/or me) be collecting button and things along the way of the next few years and add them on as we find them. I brought this quilt to Kim Van Etten to quilt and she did an amazing job! Capri and Pip came with me to drop off the quilts. I asked them if they had any ideas for the quilting … Pip told Kim that Cedi really liked dolphins. Yup – dolphins in a snowflake/snowman quilt! And Kim DID it! Inside the swirls of the snowflakes Kim free motion quilted the silhouette of dolphins! She said this quilt reminds her of a Hawaiian Christmas! YES! Cedi was really excited when I finished the last stitches in the binding – she sleeps with it every night now! Are you all getting ready for the 4th Project QUILTING Challenge! It will be posted at NOON on Sunday, February 12th! Linking up to Finish It Up Friday & TGIFF ~~~ #advertisement SALE: ALL New classes UNDER $20! Here are few classes that have caught my eye …

Oh that is fabulous, and I love the idea of adding button eyes as you go, that's going to be so much fun 🙂
