I’m actually pre-writing this on Christmas Eve because I plan on taking the whole day of Christmas off. BUT since I signed up for Cheryl Sleboda’s 31 Day Blogging Challenge … a post must be ready. First – Merry Christmas Everyone! I hope you enjoy today! If things are like previous years I’ll be up at about 4am super excited for the girls to wake up to open their presents. They’ll roll out of bed around 7/7:30 and come and join me. While I’m waiting for them I’ll be admiring my 15-foot tall Christmas tree and remembering all the special folks who have given me ornaments that hang on there. This beautiful stocking was embroidered by my good friend Karen and gifted to me last year. I will cherish it forever. Capri made this fingerprint snowman ornament in her class this year. She couldn’t wait to give it to us so we got it on Thursday so it could spend extra time on the tree! My six-year old goddaughter saw this ornament and Target and knew I must have it! Very true Ele – I love it! This is an ornament from a Landwehr Christmas exchange – it’s so beautiful! My cousins and I always hope that our Aunt Ellen picks our name to get her ornaments. She’s a nationally known rosemaling painter and these are a pair of clogs that I received when I was a girl at the Landwehr Christmas party. The sweet Laura of PointelleDesign let my girls pick out a little knit hat ornament! They are so sweet and tiny! And of course – the spool from Andria – it’s just so sweet and beautiful and perfect! I adore it! This fellow will also be joining our tree this year. I won it in a giveaway from Magical Adventures Travel with Jennifer Eacret!!!!! It’s perfectly fitting since this year was our girls’ first trip to Disney! These are just a few of the memories my tree shares with me! Do you have a favorite ornament or a fun memory? Any traditions you love you’d like to share? I’d love to hear all about them! And with that … I think I hear Santa on the roof! Merry Christmas! ~~
