I’m not sure what my deal was … but I just couldn’t open up my laptop this past week. I messed around on my ipad but really didn’t do any work on the computer … Now that I’m typing again though I have to admit it feels good! Even though I wasn’t on the computer I was keeping myself busy. My girls had spring break last week so we had plenty to do to keep everyone occupied and happy. My oldest daughter, Cedi, even had her hair CHOPPED off! She donated it and is now getting used to the short due. I personally love it! I think she looks adorable! I worked on a bunch of quilting projects … a few I can’t share with you all just yet … but here’s a few that I can. I’m continuing to work on my blocks for The Splendid Sampler. Here is Block #11 – Crocheted Thoughts designed by Alyssa Thomas of Penguin & Fish. I just did the crocheted doiley part of the block … not the string and hook. It’s far from perfect but I had a great time using the different stitches and working with embroidery. And here is Block #12 – Checkerboard designed by Pat Sloan. I made my block with just two fabrics! They are border prints which is how so many different colors, patterns, and designs are showing up! I’m having a ton of fun playing with the panel prints and border fabrics on these blocks. Once tomorrow arrives I’ll be four blocks behind … but I know I’ll catch up! These little 6.5” blocks are just too much fun not to make! ~~~ #ad
