Best in Show–Focus Through the Prism

March 7, 2016 by persimondreams 1 Comment

Now that you’ve seen the winners for each challenge it’s time to announce the quilt who won the title of “Best in Show”.  To determine this I asked each of the five judges to tell me there absolute favorite quilt.  Of course – they all picked a different one.  My next step was to take Trisha Frankland, Diane Lapacek, and my favorites into account … again all different.

So – what does one do?  I really didn’t want this to be a popular vote type thing.  So I created a secret voting poll that I only shared with quilting industry professionals and I asked them to vote for their favorite of the eight quilts selected by the group mentioned above.  Only the pictures of the quilt and the name of the quilt were shared … the creator was anonymous.  From this I was able to determine the “Best in Show.”  I am going to share with you all eight quilts that made the “Best in Show” cut and announce the winner at the bottom.

Triple wow!!! What an amazing array of quilts which show such talent. Quite how any one can pick one favourite is beyond me and I can quite see how you needed to seek extra help. But the rigour you applied gives the process real edge versus the popular vote so worth that extra step. I can't imagine how much time this takes you Kim but as a regular reader of your blog it has sure lifted my spirits this morning and there's inspiration galore.
