Early this past November I taught my second Dresden Neighborhood class at Mill House Quilts. Once again – I had a lovely group of ladies that were really excited about my fun, whimsical pattern. I even had the mother of a good friend of mine from college taking my class! It can be such a small world! One thing I’ve noticed from the folks in my classes is they like to use this pattern as an opportunity to try out the different decorative stitches their machines offer. We always seem to be sucked in to machines that boat of 10 million different stitch options … but how often do we ever really use them? Turns out – the Dresden Neighborhood Quilt is the perfect pattern for doing just that! By the end of the class all the participants had a significant portion of their quilt finished. I just love seeing all the different fabrics that are used in these Dresden Neighborhoods. And the smiles on everyone’s face!
