Hello everyone! Even though I haven’t had much time to sew the last few days I am finally getting some pictures edited. Today I’m going to share with you the finished #scrappycrownalong quilt! This is also my entry for the ‘Large Quilt’ Category in the Blogger’s Quilt Festival. Haven’t heard of the Blogger’s Quilt Festival – you must check it out now! This quilt is so big I couldn’t’ even fit it properly on my deer fence! This quilt is comprised of 12 30” blocks and two 6” side borders. I made up each of the blocks individually without comparing to what had been made previously or thinking about what I planned to do in the future. And this is what happened! I had a lot of fun making this one using 100% scraps throughout the earlier months of this year. The #scrappycrownalong quilt was quilted by Barb Raisbeck of Quilts by Barb. It’s a great random triangular design. This quilt is so busy already it didn’t need anything ridiculous for quilting. I turned it on it’s side and that seemed to fit slightly better. It’s still huge! It measures 120” x 132”!!! Want to make one too? See my posts HERE about the quilt along and HERE for the Crown of Thorns Block Tutorial! Thanks for stopping by! If this is one of your favorite quilts in the festival please nominate it for ‘Viewer’s Choice’ by going HERE. Linking up to Finish It Up Friday!
