Last weekend I headed to the International Quilt Festival in Chicago. It was an amazing experience and I can not wait until next year. On Friday, I spent the day walking around the quilt show and checking out the vendor booths. I want to share with you some of the quilts that caught my eye! Here I am standing by my quilt ‘Modern Log Cabin’ which was quilted by Marcia Wachuta”Yellow Primrose” by Karen Grover of Rockford Illinois”Gewitterhimmel” (Thunderstorm) by Brigitte Morgenroth of Kassel, Germany”Silk Mill #1” by Sue Reno of Columbia, Pennsylvania “Soft Breeze” by Kayoka Hata of Yokahama, Kanagawa, Japan Check out those teeny tiny yoyo’s holding the blocks together! wowza!!!! “Dotting Inside the Box” by Sandi Snow of Lutz, Florida “Tutti Frutti City Skyline” by Susan Bleiweiss of Pepperell, Massachusetts “Suburbs” by Kathy York of Austin Texas “Rhythm & Roses” by Karen Eckmeier of Kent, Connecticut and … to end with one of my favorite moments of the show … My big girls – Capri and Cedi (and my husband) came to see my quilt hanging in the show. It was really nice to have my family come and see my passion hanging for all to see. Pip stayed with Grandma for the weekend as she had had some beastly moments in the previous week and we just didn’t think she could handle Chicago. Next time!
