The Sun Prairie Heritage Quilt Show is the longest running quilt show in the Midwest. It also happens to be the first ever show I entered a quilt in.
This year is no different – in fact – I’ve entered FOUR quilts!
“Once Upon a Time” will be hanging at the show. It will be a great chance for you to see this piece in person and look for all the fun hidden details. “Once Upon a Time” and “and they lived happily ever after” are machine quilted into the piece. Three different fairy tales are represented – Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Little Red Riding Hood, and Goldilocks and the Three Bears. The upper right and lower left corners are made up of the 2013 Aurifil BOM. There is a lot going on in this piece – it’s definitely intense – but it’s fun to look at when each time you look you discover something new! The picture also does not do this quilt justice – it’s a must see in person!
I’ll also be debuting my ‘Gypsy Wife’ Quilt on the show scene in Sun Prairie. I’m excited to hear what folks think of this eclectic mix of fun!
Dresden Neighborhood will be hanging in the ‘mini quilt’ category. This is one of my favorite little quilts and again – it will be fun to share it with others.
Join in the Dresden Neighborhood Sew Along! More details HERE!
‘Curvy Geese Trees’ will be hanging with the other quilts made for the ‘Circles and Curves’ challenge and it’s always fun to see how others interpreted the challenge!
If you have a chance I would highly recommend stopping in at the show.
