I actually have quite a few smaller or mini quilt tops all finished and just waiting for me to quilt them. I’m not sure about you but I go in spurts … I’m either in the mood to piece or to quilt. Lately it’s been all about that piecing! But with the holiday’s just about here I need to finish a few things up so they’re ready to give!
One of my recent complete finishes is my ‘Winter Spratt Quilt’. You can get my Spratt Block Pattern HERE. It’s a really fun pattern that starts with just to squares of fabric and leaves you with very little waste! Once you make the blocks you can lay them out in so many different ways all creating fun effects. You can see a few block layouts that I auditioned HERE.
I decided to quilt it using a wavy straight line chevron pattern … following the block layout. I love to use wavy lines because then you don’t have to stress out about doing everything perfectly. Loving the fabrics I used? Get Flaky Snow Pals from the great shop AdornIt!
I put a big floral print on the back of the quilt. It is bound with different strips of fabrics that I had left after making the front of the quilt.
Quilt Stats:
Name: Winter Spratt
Size: 32” x 28”

This will make a great baby quilt for some lucky winter baby!

I think you chose a great layout and I really like the wavy quilting. It gave such movement to the quilt and I had to look closely to see that it was actually straight (and not curved) piecing. I love a quilt that gives my eyes something to wander around/follow. Thanks for linking up with me for TGIFF.
