Time to Reorganize

December 29, 2014 by persimondreams 5 Comments

Every year between Christmas and New Year’s I take a break from sewing to reorganize my area.  Except for this year – well, sort of.  I’m reorganizing my area but I just have too many last minute projects that I want to complete before Season 6 of Project QUILTING begins to take a complete break in sewing.  My amazing husband is helping me with this task which EXTREMELY helpful as I may have a hard time focusing.  My plan – sew a little, clean/organize a little.  I have until Sunday to have the major renovations done … IMG_6712 To keep me honest – I’m posting some ‘before’ pictures.  You all need to hound me to show you my ‘after’ pictures so I keep at it! IMG_6713 I was going to edit them … but … why bother?! IMG_6715 Yes – that’s a punching bag. IMG_6717 Just a few obstructions when I look at my design wall … IMG_6719 Hmmm…. I have some work to do!  See you around! Are you cleaning up your workspace too!?  Please share links to pictures and we’ll all help keep each other honest!

Looks a lot like my sewing space did a few days ago. Is it bad that I filled 4 trash bags with actual trash to take out of the space? How does that even happen? I also discovered that I'm almost completely out of batting. I have no idea how I ended up with less than a yard on my roll, but it's better to know now that mid-challenge week. Though, I have to admit to discovering this as I was attempting to baste a quilt. I hope my lqs has a spare roll I can buy. And I'm not brave enough to take before photos of my space. It was COMPLETELY awful.

Yeah, but is that a vat of the good hard cider?

OMG! Can't wait to see the after. That is keeping it real for sure. Do you like the ball chair?

Started "organizing" 01/01/13-finished today! Getting control of the UFO's was critical for me. Finally under control and I vow to keep it that way!

Thank you for posting your pictures. I thought I was the only one with a space like this. Sounds like you get a whole lot more done in yours than I do in mine. Mine is such a mess that I don't even want to go in there. My husband tends to make things worse when he goes in there and I get frustrated and just think, "forget it!"
