A few weeks ago I saw a book on Zentangles and I decided to grab it. It looked like fun and while I do enjoy hand sewing when I can’t be machine sewing it’s nice to have another project to work on too.
While I was there I also picked up a wood Christmas Tree that needed ‘decorating’. After playing a little bit with drawing them on paper I decided that my tree needed to be ‘Zentangled’.
The first side of my tree I did mushroom zentangles… I used the book a lot to get started. The filling in is where I started to get more creative. I was officially hooked.Side two…Under the Sea. Things are getting a little while under the water on this Christmas tree! Side three – flowers! Definitely starting to let loose here! Side four –bird and butterflys and…whatever else! This was my final side and I was really starting to just let the Zentangling happen at this point.
And when you put the whole tree together things get a bit wild! I’m so so so happy with it and I can’t wait to get my zentangle on some more! Plus – I have a great new tree for my ‘Christmas Tree Collection!’
