Grand Prize Winner for Season 4 of Project QUILTING

March 29, 2013 by persimondreams 10 Comments

Every time a quilter made and entered a quilt into the six weekly challenges – their name was entered into the drawing for the final, Grand Prize.

  • 257 quilts were made during the last three months of Project QUILTING (and yes – it’s not even April yet!).
  • 77 quilters participated in at least one challenge
  • 20 of those quilters made a quilt for all six challenges (getting them an seventh opportunity to win)

Are you impressed yet?  I sure am – wow, wow, wow!  This season has completely blown me away!

Before I reveal who wins…let’s go over what they’re going to be taking home!

The girls where already in bed when I was ready for them to draw so I snuck upstairs (shhh…don’t tell Papa) and Capri drew the name…  IMG_6697Then, Cedi held the name and got her picture taken too just so it was fair.  There was no way I was going to go near Pip and mess her up for the night…sorry.

Yup – you saw it correctly!  The winner of the Season 4 Grand Prize for Project QUILTING is

Carlotta Jean!

Congrats Carlotta Jean!  Carlotta Jean was one of the 20 who completed a quilt for each of the six challenges.  I hope you enjoyed the challenges as much as I enjoyed having you participate!

Great job!

Oh wow Kim, there is nothing sweeter than seeing your baby girls holding a slip of paper with "Carlotta Jean" (my mom's nickname for ME). Doing a happy dance, cartwheels, and jumping for joy. THANK YOU! What a great surprise. I have had the BEST experience with these challenges. Every challenge was incredible.

I can't believe the talent of all these quilters from around the world. I have learned something from each and every one of the participants.

Kim, I don't know how you do it. Mommy, wife, designer, career, quilting, blogging…. You have worked so hard to make Project Quilting something all quilters, new and experienced, can enjoy.

Thank you to all the sponsors! They just add to the fun.

    WOW.

Thanks so much Kim for the great season of Project Quilting. I guess I should get started on the bonus challenge.
