Happy Sunday everyone!  I hope you’ve had a nice weekend so far and a relaxing ‘break’ week from Project QUILTING.  I also hope you’re ready to get quilting!  Can you believe that we’re already half way through the season!?  Craziness – I know!

The Challenge: Wish Upon a Star

  1. Your project must include at least one star. It can be a traditional star block, an appliquéd star, a star in the embellishments or quilting…..Use your
    imagination. More stars are fine, but there must be at least one.
  2. Your project does not need to be a traditional quilt, but must meet at least one of these requirements:

    1. Include patchwork.
    2. Include appliqué.
    3. Have 3 layers stitched together by hand or machine.

 

  1. Your project must have a name.
  2. Please remember that these projects need to be created during the week of the challenge.
  3. POST your entries with a description of your creative process, including where you are (ie, I create in Madison, WI) and the size of your project by Sunday, February 24th, 2013, by NOON, CDT, to this flickr group, Project QUILTING with Persimon Dreams –OR email a picture/description of your completed project to {lapaceksorchard at gmail dot com} with PROJECT QUILTING in the subject line.

This was one of my very first quilts…it is King size but made with HUGE blocks so it went together really fast.  I used a combination of hand-dyed fabrics and commercial prints.
