Quilter: Sweet Boater Chick
Circle Meets Square in Square Lap Quilt
I started this challenge not sure what to do, so I pulled out my box of charm squares. I had both a 5 inch and a 2.5 inch charm pack of Juggling Summer. And I just went from there. I threw in some solids and added a grid of grey (wohoo extra square). I pebble quilted in the larger squares and the small squares in the squares.
It measures 34″x38″.
I created this fun lap quilt in Lanoka Harbor, NJ.

Quilter: Stitchin’ Therapy
Watercolor squares in a square
I just found out about this challenge and thought I would enjoy it. I miss the weekly journal challenge and the creativity it inspired. This was an easy “out” for me as I love to do watercolor quilts and wall hangings. I work with 2″ squares and blend each one to the next to create the light moving to dark area. A batik border with straight line quilting and this finished at 16″ by 16″.

Just Desserts 4 Patch
I made the simple version of square in a square. I used a set of charms and jelly rolls in “Just Desserts” from Connecting Threads. The quilt is approx 42″ sq. It was made as part of a gift to a young family for a Feb birthday. I would like to start a tradition of having the honored birthday child have the privilege of getting to sleep with the quilt the night before the birthday and the following table runner used as part of the b/day celebration as well.
Just Desserts Runner
This is the matching table runner that will go with the gift to the special birthday child.
