It’s a perfect rainy day out here. The one that I used to cuddle up on the couch with a good book and a hot cup of tea. Now that I have three kiddo’s with lots of energy – these days aren’t quite as peaceful as they were. But I have managed to get all three to sleep at the same time. Once I’m done with this post I hope to join them. Since the last ‘Update’ our family has gotten much healthier. Cedi’s cough is gone and she’s completed her antibiotic’s. My painful boobs turned into a fun case of mastitis – I’m also done with my antibiotics and feeling much better. Capri had the same cold/cough Cedi had and on the Monday after Cedi’s pneumonia diagnosis she had a fever. I brought her in (yup – we saw the doctor a lot in just a few days) and she had an ear infection (no pneumonia) and she’s also done with her antibiotics. Last weekend, Aunt Karma came for a visit. She wanted to meet Pip and Cedi had her ballet recital (pictures to come).
I brought Pip outside to visit with Aunt Karma and show off her tummy time skills. Within seconds she was fast asleep on the quilt! Without anyone holding her – a miracle! So, I grabbed a book and just hung out with her as she napped – I think I may have an outside baby…
Cedi is doing great. She’s loving being a big sister and she still has ridiculously long legs!
Capri is loving being a big sister BUT I don’t think she’s loving the attention from her mama that she’s lost. Lots of crying and meltdowns. I hope she gets through this phase quickly. I think as Pip gets onto more of a schedule things will get easier for us all. Jared’s doing fine too – I know I don’t talk about him much but he doesn’t change too often. He’s back to work and still trying to do lots around the orchard. I have to give him lots of credit for including the two older girls in as much of the work he has to do as possible. This is not an easy task and involves more patience than I have. I mentioned that I was going to be re-starting weight watchers. I now have two weeks under my belt. The first week I lost 2.4 lbs and this past week I lost another 3 for a total of 5.4 lbs! I really love this program and hope to continue to be successful with it. I’ve also started a ZUMBA class on Sunday’s. I LOVE it! I want to do more but I think I’m going to let myself heal a bit more before I add in another class a week. My question for today is:
so glad to hear you are all on the mend! I don't think any of my snacks qualify for inclusion, so I will keep them secret (though if you look 'round my back you might see the result of said secret!)
I am glad you are all feeling better! Great job on the weight loss. My favorite healthy snacks are raw almonds (especially great for nursing women), kefir, greek yogurt, apples, and baked tostitos and salsa. Do I eat these always? Not quite. 🙂
