Ballet 2011

The other weekend was Cedi’s first ballet recital.  Cedi started taking ballet at the beginning of this year (I was the mom that forgot to sign my kid up when dance started in the fall). 

I tried to get a picture of all three girls together…here’s what happened…

Cedi LOVED ballet and I LOVED taking her (until I got ridiculously hugely pregnant and then papa and grandma took over for the end classes). 

Aunt Karma flew back from Virginia for the recital (and to meet Pip I guess…)

It was honestly the most amusing half and hour of my week.  Well, the whole thing wrapped up with a big recital – two and a half hours of a recital to be exact.  It was really well done and I have to give Miss Erin props for keeping it all together the way she did.  Kids from ages 3.5 to 18 performed.  It was pretty amazing.  Jared did have to stay for both recitals as he is unable at this point to feed Pip.  Next year will be better for him since I’ll be able to handle the dress rehearsal and the two recitals – AND we’ll have two beautiful girls in it.  Cedi in her ballet costume.  I think one of her favorite parts of ballet is getting to wear tutus! And here’s Cedi’s little dance – fast forward through the first minute… Even Pip got into the action.  SHe wore a beautiful dress from Auntie Nise…complete with her very own ballet slippers!
