An article in etsy’s Storque the other week caught my eye. Here’s what the first paragraph said: The day of hearts is almost upon us, and here is an opportunity to open your heart to a large circle of people. You may recall our Special Delivery project from last year. It was so heart-warming that we’ve decided to make it an Etsy tradition. Once again, we’ll be working with Citymeals-on-Wheels to bring nutritious meals, handmade greeting cards and companionship to elderly New Yorkers. To read about the details click HERE! Don’t worry…it’s not too late to submit your own cards. You have until February 9th for them to get to the etsy office! I don’t usually make cards (shocking, I know) but I thought it would be a fun project to work on with the girls. Of course, I do have some card making supplies…so I pulled them out and we got to work! Here’s what we came up with: This is the card Capri decorated…my 23 month old… And this is Cedi’s Card! (3 years old) A simple card just stamped…but cute. Here I combined stamping and stitching on the card. I did learn my lesson a few times that you have to OPEN the card before you use your sewing machine! This is my favorite…inside it says “I Love ‘Moo’”. And one last view of all the cards together…we made 8 in all.

Those are too cute. I just decided to have the kids make cards instead of buying them. I'm sure they won't be this cute, but they'll have fun and I'll make heart suckers for them to give out. I was laughing at the thought of you sewing the cards together. I don't won a sewing machine but it someting I would totally do.
