I always have a hard time deciding what to have for breakfast. I have come to the realization that it IS the most important meal of the day but that doesn’t make the whole routine any easier. Here’s a new recipe that I tried:
P-NUTTY BANANA OATMEAL
from the Weight Watchers Quick Fixes Book
1 T peanut butter
1 pkg instant oatmeal (chose your flavor)
1/2 lg. banana peeled and sliced
Stir peanut butter into hot oatmeal, then stir in banana. Serve immediately.
This was a pretty good recipe. I’m not a huge fan of oatmeal but it really does keep me full for quite awhile so I try to eat it some mornings (and it just mixes things up). The added peanut butter was pretty tasty…not quite as much of a fan of the banana…the texture of the banana combined with the texture of the oatmeal just wasn’t quite right. I think next time I’ll skip the banana (which will bring the pt. value down to 5).
