Cedi has had quite a week! I have too…I was busy getting ready for the dyeing workshop I held with Diane at the Orchard last Saturday. The day was fabulous but all the time I had ‘scheduled’ to prepare for it didn’t quite go as planned.
My girls go to Diane’s (Grandma’s) every Thursday for Grandma Day. Last Thursday morning I was helping Cedi out of her night time diaper and into her big girl panties. I noticed something black on on her whoo whoo. Upon closer inspection I realized it was a deer tick! I tried to get it off but finally decided that Grandma would know what to do more than I did. We packed up and got to Grandma’s. Grandma laid Cedi on her bed (after Grandpa instructing her to not do it on the couch…) and managed to pull the entire tick off. She confirmed my suspicion that it was in fact a deer tick…uh oh. I called the doctor’s office to tell them what happened and they wanted to see her right away. We sat FOREVER in the doctor’s office. After spending about 2 minutes looking to make sure we got the entire tick out and then deciding to give her some amoxicillan to prevent the possibility of her contracting Lyme’s Disease.
Luckily, Cedi absolutely LOVE her medicine! She tells us her tummy hurts if we forget to give it to her and once we do, it’s magically all better 🙂 So cute!
On Saturday she spend the day with Papa, Capri and Grandpa while I taught the workshop. They spent a lot of time swimming in the pool and riding in the truck behind Grandpa’s tractor because the wheel kept falling off. When Grandpa came home for the day he was telling us about how he was about to give up and all of a sudden Cedi yelled out the window of the truck, “Grandpa, you’re a good man!” making things seem not so bad… This is the picture I took of Cedi when I got home from the dyeing day…I think she had a full day of fun!
