Today is my brother’s birthday! (Happy Birthday Brian!) In honor of his birthday, I decided to do a little ‘shopping’ for him. So, here’s what I would get him from etsy if I had a limitless budget!
One thing my brother loves to do is go snowboarding! He has two bad knees (ACL surgery on both) but refuses to give up this love of his. He also is always wearing really neat looking t-shirts (or really dorky ones). To the right, is a Snowboarder T from totalradness.
He might not put this decal on his wall now, but in his bachelor days I’m pretty sure he would have: Vinyl Wall Art by bombgrafx.
And here’s another t-shirt for my brother. It’s not a holiday or birthday if he doesn’t get something related to Farts. He’s 31 and still thinks they are hilarious! Hey, it’s the little things! Skunk Fart T-shirt by DeadSeven:
If anyone visited by treasury earlier this week you would already know that my brother is a computer nerd. I must admit that I am really happy about this. I wouldn’t have half the knowledge about computers that I have if it weren’t for him. He also can fix our computers when things go wrong so there’s no way that I am complaining. The perfect clock for his desk at work: d10shun‘s Hard Drive Desk Clock.
As most boys born in the late 70’s, my brother is a big fan of Star Wars. These cuff links would be perfect for him (and, yes, he does actually wear cuff links!) Star Wars Darth Vader Cuff Links by blinkphoto.
I’m not sure if these are really my brother but I just saw them and thought they were pretty sweet: LEGO Cuff Links – Luke Skywalker by pinktophat:
My brother used to live in an apartment that literally had NOTHING on its walls. And I really mean this…nothing. I’m guessing you can tell by what I make I am by no means a minimalist and I found this extremely depressing. So, I took him shopping for some wall art. I thought we’d get some bright colored funky picture or something, but the picture that my brother fell in love with that day was a view of outerspace. Not my first choice but he really like it and it was pretty sweet. To go with his love of space I thought this, ‘The Milky Way’ by Egilpatr would fit right in with him.
Now that I’m done ‘shopping’ I just want to say a few things about my brother. Although, growing up he was a pain in my rear sometimes (locking me in the basement, tricking me into thinking you put deodorant on your feet (4 years age difference), letting me crack my head open on a fire hydrant) he was really a great big brother. He would never let anyone hurt me or say bad things about me. Brian is also one of those ‘good guys.’ My mom always tells a story that sums my brother up perfectly. When he was in kindergarten they were playing musical chairs. The music stopped and my brother was standing right in front of an open chair. He stood there while another little kid ran all the way around the circle and sat in it. When the teacher asked him why he did that he responded, “He would have felt bad.”
And with that, Happy Birthday Brian. I love you!
