I’m taking the Handmade Spark Blogger Challenge!
How has your creativity changed over the past year?
Wow! What a question – and what a perfect year to be faced with this question. At the beginning of the year, I was focusing one the thought “What’s going to Sell?” And as you can imagine – most of what I thought would sell – didn’t. In April, I started up Project QUILTING and rediscovered what I was – an artist. I used to blush when people called me that – now I’m proud to hear someone say it. I have learned to embrace my ‘mind’ with all the crazy ideas it has and trust my gut. I’ll admit, I do make a few ‘commercial’-type products, but they help me pay the bills to support my creative-crazy ideas. I can’t wait to work on some more in 2011!

I went through a lot this year too.
I had two etsy shops. Then I shut them down. Opened a website. Had to shut it down. It's too much money to keep one when you don't sell a thing. Now I just give quilts away and don't try to sell; although I really need to try because I don't have any play money at all. No way to budget any. But, I for sure want to get back to my artsy side that I used to have when I first started quilting. I might just find that if I do…I might even sell something as well. (Of course that requires listing it. Bummer.)
